One of my favorite scriptural accounts is the passage in Luke 24:13-27, where the risen Lord Jesus expounded to two disciples on the road to Emmaus the scriptures concerning Himself from the books of Moses and the prophets. There is a climactic chapter of He Chose the Glory where that approach, from the Pentateuch and prophets, up to that point in time, are used to enlighten concerning the transition leading from the Golden Ark of the Covenant, and its place in worship, to the Messiah, Jesus Christ. This entire unique book will grip you with the story of how one man’s honor for God and the holy things impacted how worship was done in King David’s Tent and gave birth to a family legacy that has its own special place in the story of our faith.
